Why insects?

I find the way that insects make their way in the world fascinating. They perceive the world entirely differently than we do and are one of the most successful groups of animals on the planet. Learning about their behavior and diversity has always left me wanting to know more.

Why University of Minnesota?

I grew up in Minnesota and have always dreamed of going to UMN for my graduate degree. I am excited to join a large university with lots of opportunities for personal and professional development.

I am hoping to be a researcher that focuses on sustainable and responsible use of pesticides to ensure the health of beneficial insects in agriculture.
