On January 16, 2023 Catalog of the Hydroptilidae (Insecta, Trichoptera) was published by Robin Thomson. Of the Trichoptera order, Hydroptilidae is the largest family but is one of the smallest in terms of body size. Her catalog follows the format used in the Neotropical Trichoptera catalogs, organized alphabetically by family, subfamily, tribe (when applicable), genus, and species. Covering over 2600 species, in 6 subfamilies, and 76 genera; Thomson compiled over 1300 sources and decades of data into one catalog.
