Dr. Cristian Beza-Beza will be joining the Department of Entomology as a President’s Postdoctoral Fellow (PPF) on August 28, 2023!
Dr. Beza-Beza has a broad range of expertise in insect systematics, insect phylogeny, and analysis of historical biogeography and diversification of faunas. At UMN, he plans to study the evolutionary mechanisms that underlie certain biological features of insect evolution, including the possible co-evolution of passalid beetles and their wood-digesting symbionts in Latin America.
