Why Insects?
Insects dominate planet Earth, the most diverse group of animals. They play a preponderant role in ecosystems and yet we do not know their real diversity in its totality.
Why University of Minnesota?
The University of Minnesota has one of the most comprehensive entomological collections in the world. Working in this collection opens the door to a lot of material from different groups, especially Trichoptera. The university facilities are one of the things I like the most. Also, the staff is fantastic.
