Insect Science Minor Requirements
This minor provides students with a strong foundation in entomology while exploring entomological theories and principles. Coursework easily compliments studies related to biology, animals, plants, human health, and food production. All minor requirements must be taken A-F (unless only offered S/N), and students must earn a grade of at least C- in each course in the minor. Required for this minor: ENT 1005 plus 12 credits from courses listed on this page.

The Insect Science Minor provides a strong background in entomological principles and theory. Requirements
To complete the minor you must (1) complete Insect Biology (ENT 1005; 4.0 cr) [BIOL], and (2) complete 12 or more credits from the approved elective course lists.
Elective courses are arranged into 4 areas of concentration (see above) to help match major fields of study with associated entomology content. Choose your courses from one of the areas of concentration, or combine courses from several lists to customize your personalized minor. Then take your education beyond the classroom through experiential learning with student research, internships and other Department of Entomology opportunities.
*One non-listed course (3-4 cr) may be taken as a substitute to those courses on the approved list if both 1) the non-listed elective course corresponds to a theme consistent with other courses taken on the approved list, and 2) is substituted in consultation with the Minor advisor.
